ATOMAA
2023.01, Home for Readers in Best Italian Future Living Design Selection, Milan, IT
The project, while not upsetting the original layout of the house, gives the new owners flexible spaces, brightness, wide fields of view and a succession of varied environments that are always in communication with each other.

"The notion of flexibility is a standout of this design. Brera shape shifts frequently over the course of the day. A guest turning up in the morning, afternoon or evening would see a different configuration each time. A small-footprint residence doesn't have the luxury of moving to various rooms to accomplish their daily activities. Instead, they must transform their space to accommodate their lifestyle"

"No innovation abandons reason.
There is no innovation.
There is a rediscovery of innocence, a conquest of the state of Grace, so that the memory is not lost."

- Alvaro Siza, writing about the work of Luis Barragán, 1994

2020.11, A Home for Readers in Elle Decor, Milan, IT
“A home for readers? Yes, in Milan. It was designed by Studio Atomaa in 2019. Between the living room and the access to the other rooms of the apartment, books prevail and breathe instinctively with refined, elegant and lively interior design (thanks to the design of the doors). From cinematography to design, from literature to music, the architectural project was tailor-made: between the needs and desires of the couple who live in this slice of the Milanese heart."

- Alessia Musillo, Elle Decor
